King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of the Great Image in Daniel 2, and the prophet Daniel’s interpretation of it, is a remarkable forecast of the history of human government upon the earth. It spans all of human history from that time, around 600 B.C., until the day when Christ will soon return to put an end to all other kingdoms and establish His own government upon the earth.
Moreover, when we understand it properly, this vision clearly shows us that we are now very close to the end of human history.
Such a prophecy in the Bible demonstrates to us that the Lord truly is the one who “declares the end from the beginning” and who says,
“My counsel shall stand,
And I will do all My pleasure.”
— Isaiah 46:10
If you have any doubts about that, or about the Bible as the word of God, I encourage you to listen to this edition of the podcast and to consider Daniel 2 and this vision of the Great Image.
